According to the company, a new factory is necessary due to increased demand in the Turkish market, particularly for delivery and personal transportation services.

Honda has announced that it reached the milestone of 500 million motorcycles produced globally in 2025, marking a historic journey that began in 1949 with the Dream D-Type.

The company opened its first factory outside Japan in 1963 in Belgium and from then on it never stopped, with new facilities in several places around the world, such as Thailand in 1968, Indonesia in 1971, and Brazil and Italy in 1976.

In addition to this historic milestone, the company announced that it currently has around 40% of the global market share and expects to achieve a 50% share by 2031.

To this end, it is investing in new electric models, will increase the efficiency of combustion engines and will expand the line of models compatible with flex engines (which use gasoline and/or ethanol, in any proportion), very popular in Brazil and India.

honda cuv e:

Toshihiro Mibe, Director, President and Representative Executive Officer, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. said:

‘For Honda, motorcycle business is our ‘founder’s business’, and it will continue to be the company’s core business. In the motorcycle business, we have built the trust of our customers through our many products and services, which has enabled us to achieve a cumulative production volume of 500 million units. I would like to thank our customers and all stakeholders who were involved in achieving this milestone, from development to production, sales, and service. Honda will continue to take on the challenge of expanding the joy of our customers around the world.’

Honda’s journey to 500 million motorcycles:

The Beginning (1948–1959): Honda was founded in 1948 and launched its first complete motorcycle, the Dream D-Type, in 1949. In 1958, the legendary Super Cub C100 hit the market. By 1959, Honda had already become the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer.

Global Expansion (1960s–1980s): Honda began producing motorcycles outside Japan in 1963, starting with Belgium. It soon expanded to Thailand, Brazil (1976), the U.S., Nigeria, and more — becoming a truly global brand.

Iconic Models & Innovation (1969–2009): Honda launched legendary bikes like the CB750, Gold Wing, and Africa Twin. It also led in innovation, introducing the first airbag on a production motorcycle (2005) and the first dual-clutch transmission bike (2009).

Production Milestones (1968–2019): Honda hit 10 million units in 1968, 100 million in 1997, and 400 million in 2019. In 2014, the Super Cub became the most produced motorcycle in history.

Electrification & the 500 Million Mark (2022–2025): Honda kicked off its electric era with the EM1e:, introduced E-Clutch tech, and revealed concepts of its first full-size electric models. In 2025, it celebrated a massive milestone: 500 million motorcycles produced globally — and 50 years of the Gold Wing.

Honda has announced that it has won the 2025 Red Dot Design Award for the NC750X, its versatile 750cc adventure crossover motorcycle.

Recently refreshed with a new design, the model brings Honda its sixth consecutive victory, following the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP (2020), Forza 750 (2021), ADV350 and NT1100 (2022), CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp (2023) and EM1 e: (2024).

The NC750X’s 2025 re-styling was led by the team at Honda’s R&D centre in Rome, whose Project Leader, Valerio Aiello, commented:

“We’re delighted to receive the Red Dot design award for the NC750X. For the 2025 version, we concentrated on making it much more robust, clean and dynamic, while keeping in line with its basic concept. What I particularly like about the NC750X is its hybrid nature, in the sense that it passes through different categories of motorcycles taking inspiration from all of them: a bit adventure, a bit road and with the practicality of a scooter.”

Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Design Center, Honda R&D Co., Ltd. commented:

“We are very honoured to receive the Red Dot Design Award for the sixth consecutive year, and this year, we also received the iF Design Award. We believe that this is the result of people resonating with Honda Design’s passion of “designs that enrich the lives of our customers through experiences and products resulting from a human-centric approach”.

Ducati has announced the Desmo450 MX in Europe, its first motocross bike in history, which is set to raise the bar in the most important competitions.

Equipped with a 450cc single-cylinder engine with Desmodromic distribution and a lightweight aluminum chassis, the bike promises to be very competitive.

One of the highlights of the model is its advanced electronics. According to Ducati, it is the first motocross bike in the world equipped with a Traction Control system capable of precisely defining the actual rear wheel slippage.

As mentioned, the chassis of this bike is super-light, weighing just 8.96 kg, which contributes greatly to the low total weight of just 104.8 kg, without fuel.

“Over the past 18 months many people have asked me why Ducati decided to enter the world of professional off-road racing. The answer is simple: Ducati is a healthy company that generates resources, therefore has the opportunity to grow by opening up to a new segment of enthusiasts,” said Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding.

“We looked around, searching for the important uniqueness of our corporate culture and finding the one that I believe characterises Ducati like perhaps no other company: the closeness between the world of racing and the world of production motorbikes. And discovering, at the same time, that we have an incredible resource within us in the form of so many off-road enthusiasts in the various departments. All this has allowed us to present the Desmo450 MX today: an easy, high-performance bike, for amateurs and professionals alike, which we will constantly develop through sporting activity at the highest levels, supporting it thanks to a sales network that speaks the language of motocross enthusiasts and truly understands all their needs”, completed.

The Ducati Desmo450 MX will hit stores in Europe from June and subsequently in the United States and the rest of the world.

Furthermore, they say that the warranty is now linked to the product, and not to the owner, and is therefore transferable in sales of pre-owned and used products, as long as the new owner continues with the same maintenance plan.

Finally, they say that the warranty is valid at more than 800 dealers across 15 countries, and that it covers the company’s entire line of motorcycles and scooters.

Ducati announced that it closed fiscal year 2024 with revenues of more than 1 billion euros, the third consecutive time this has happened, and with a profitability of 9.1%.

Despite a small drop compared to 2023, revenues were still above 1 billion euros. The company says 54,495 motorcycles were sold, compared to 58,224 in 2023.

2024 ends with a positive balance that, despite a challenging competitive environment, confirms our solidity and a benchmark profitability in the two-wheeler market.” declared Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati.

We enjoy a solid financial base that allows us to continuously and significantly invest in research and development, innovation and racing competition, while continuing to strengthen the uniqueness and prestige of our product range and ensuring the high standards of quality and service typical of a product of excellence. This, combined with our commitment to making every Ducatista feel part of a great family, makes the brand more beloved than ever today”, completed the executive.

Henning Jens, Ducati CFO, added: “2024 was a complicated year due to the particularly challenging market conditions the whole business faced. In this context, we chose to focus on protecting overall profitability, prioritising long-term sustainability rather than just aiming at increasing sales volumes. This approach, combined with further improvements of our efficiency, is in line with our premium strategy and it allowed us to conclude the year with a profitability that reached 9.1% return on sales and an operating result that shows our ability to generate value and guarantee a solid financial base also under difficult circumstances.“

Looking at 2025, Ducati presented ten new models, further enriching an increasingly complete, sophisticated and technologically advanced product range, designed to offer every Ducatista the most suitable bike to express their passion for two wheels.

Motorcycle sales in Brazil continue to grow and attract new brands to this market, which is one of the largest in the world. In 2024, the country sold 1.876 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds, an increase of 18.6% over 2023.

Honda dominates the market, with a 69% share, but its leadership is decreasing year after year. Yamaha comes in second, with 18%.

However, Chinese and Indian brands are already among the 10 largest on the Fenabrave (the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution in Brazil) list.

According to the entity, the Chinese brand Shineray is already the third brand that sells the most motorcycles in that country, year to date. Another Chinese brand, Haojue, comes in fifth. The Indian Royal Enfield is in seventh place and its domestic counterpart Bajaj, which began operations there at the end of 2022, is already in tenth place.

If we consider only the month of December 2024, Bajaj achieved even higher numbers, as it closed the month as the fifth brand that sells the most motorcycles there, surpassing Royal Enfield and Haojue.

With the market booming, new brands are showing interest in establishing operations in Brazil. The Italian brand Moto Morini has already confirmed that it will begin operations in 2025. Rumors also say that other Indian companies, Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motor, are about to start operations there.

Honda has launched in Europe the new 2025 CB1000 Hornet, its 1000cc ‘naked’ motorcycle and top of the Hornet family, which arrives with breathtaking performance, as well as a striking design, to dominate the segment.

The Hornet name returned to Honda’s motorcycle family in 2023, with the launch of the CB750 Hornet, a naked twin-cylinder that is a success on the European continent. After that, the CB500 Hornet arrived, to be the entry-level motorcycle in this category.

Now it’s the turn of the most powerful in the line, a bike that arrives to reaffirm the name that, in the past, was synonymous with power, modernity and aggressiveness, especially with the CB600F Hornet, which used the CBR600R engine.

2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet

To achieve this, the 2025 CB1000 Hornet uses the engine from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade superbike, with some adjustments, of course, to make it more docile for use in the city.

The 1000cc inline four-cylinder engine is capable of generating up to 111.6 kW (151.7 hp) of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque. It works together with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.

To tame this beast, a cutting-edge electronic set was incorporated, such as the Throttle By Wire (TBW), 3 riding modes, Power Control, Engine Brake Control and Traction Control (HSTC) with integrated wheelie control.

2025 honda cb1000 hornet

The design of this machine is unique, transmitting pure aggressiveness that is characterized by the double LED headlight and the fuel tank, which gives the impression of ‘wings folded forward’.

Taking advantage of the occasion, the company also presented the 2025 CB1000 Hornet SP, which arrives even more powerful, with more power and torque, fully adjustable Showa suspension at the front and Öhlins at the rear, Brembo Stylema front brake calipers, and Quickshifter as standard.

The 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet will be available in three color options: Grand Prix Red, Mat Iridium Gray Metallic, and Pearl Glare White. The 2025 CB1000 Hornet SP comes in Mat Ballistic Black Metallic, with Desert Gold Metallic wheels and Gold front forks.

Honda has launched in Europe the 2025 NT1100, its 1100cc touring motorcycle, which comes with aesthetic updates, more torque at low and medium revs, and more technology that increases safety and comfort.

It is immediately clear that the design of the NT1100 has been slightly modified, becoming sharper and more aggressive, with new LED headlights that incorporate the DRL and turn signals, the same feature used on the X-ADV adventure scooter.

The engine of the new 2025 NT1100 has not changed, but it has been adjusted to offer 7% more torque at low and medium revs, without compromising maximum power. According to Honda, adjustments were made to the intake, combustion and exhaust to achieve this goal.

2025 honda nt1100

The 1,084cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine is now capable of generating up to 102 hp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed with the option of an automated dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

In addition, a six-axis IMU provides even more precision for various electronic safety aids, with the addition of Cornering ABS. Other electronic highlights present in the model are: 3 riding modes, HSTC traction control with 3-level wheelie control, power delivery control and engine braking.

Finally, the 2025 NT1100 will be available in a new version, called the NT1100 Electronic Suspension, with the sophisticated fully electronically adjustable suspension offered by Showa-EERA.

A few patent drawings have emerged that indicate that BYD may be developing a premium, mid-size electric scooter, with all the technology the company already has.

byd electric scooter

This scooter will likely be equipped with blade batteries, a specialty of the company, which allow for high currents and many charging cycles.

The project seems to be quite interesting, with a slightly larger front wheel (probably 15″), inverted front suspension, central engine and final drive via belt.

The size and build in the drawings indicate a scooter very similar to the Honda Forza 350, that is, a model with plenty of space and comfort for both the rider and the passenger.

byd electric scooter

For now, nothing has been confirmed, but judging by the drawings released, it seems that the development of this electric scooter may be at an advanced stage, which would allow its launch in the near future.

Anyway, will the giant of four-wheeled electric vehicles also be able to be a powerhouse on two wheels? Only time will tell.

The Yamaha RD500 is turning 40 in 2024. The model was one of the most sought-after motorcycles in 1984, but it had an extremely short life.

It was the first replica of the 500GP of the 80s and had everything that was most modern for the time, such as the YPVS system, ventilated front brake discs, 16-inch front wheel, among others.

The engine of this machine was a 500cc two-stroke V4 with up to 90 HP of maximum power, fed by large carburetors positioned inside the ‘V’.

yamaha rd500lc

Unfortunately for the street bike, this space was occupied by the YPVS system, forcing the installation of smaller carburetors (26mm Mikuni) on the sides of the engine.

The Yamaha RD500 arrived in Europe (specifically in the United Kingdom) in June 1984, priced at £2,995 (the same as a Kawasaki GPz900R). Despite this ‘salty’ price, it quickly sold out.

However, due to its timid performance, the hype didn’t last long. In 1985, the company launched the FZ750, with the same performance as the RD500, but priced £200 less.

yamaha rd500lc

With this, the fate of the iconic RD500 was sealed, with its production ending in 1987, with only 1,400 units produced.

Today, if you find one of these models in good condition, it can cost around £20,000, meaning it has become a collector’s item.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is a sales success in the markets where it is sold. The 373cc motorcycle is a mid-sized touring bike, offering good performance on the road, with excellent value for money.

Now, rumors say that the next generation of this motorcycle could gain a new platform, completely different from the current one, and become much more sophisticated.

This would reposition the Dominar 400 in the company’s catalog, no longer being very affordable. It would then be a model for those who wanted to move up a step in the company, offering more but also charging more.

The Pulsar NS400Z, a recently launched 400cc naked motorcycle, would take over as the entry point into the 400cc category for the Indian manufacturer, offering great performance at an affordable price.

2024 dominar 400

In India, Bajaj has two main lines: the Pulsar and the Dominar. The Pulsar has more street and urban models, with great performance and cheaper, generally with shorter wheelbases and lighter weights. The Dominar line is more focused on touring, with heavier bikes and longer wheelbases.

The next generation of the Dominar 400 could arrive with a new design, chassis and engine, as well as incorporating more technology, to make it even more ready for medium/long distance trips.

Of course, all this is just rumors, we’ll just have to wait and see how things unfold. But apparently, the 400-500cc segment could get a lot hotter in the coming years.

The worldwide success of Triumph‘s T-Series range shows that the company is on the right track, as its 400cc bikes are performing very well in their categories.

Currently composed of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X, the line should gain, in 2025, at least two more members, according to rumors: the Tiger 400 and the Thruxton 400.

A little background: The T-Series range was developed in partnership between Triumph and Bajaj in India. The new models are the British manufacturer’s first mid-size single-cylinder models. After being launched in the Asian country in 2023, they were launched worldwide in 2024.

The Thruxton 400 would be the next motorcycle to be launched. With a sportier feel and café racer style, the model would be an alternative for those who want a motorcycle with these features, but at an affordable price.

triumph speed 400 and scrambler 400 x
Triumph Scrambler 400X and Speed 400

The other bet would be the Tiger 400. This model makes a lot of sense, since the Tiger line is the British company’s most successful and, currently, is made up of the Tiger 900, Tiger 1200, Tiger 850 Sport and Tiger Sport 660 models.

If it does indeed launch, the Tiger 400 would also be a huge success, as it would offer plenty of adventure-oriented performance in a compact and affordable package. Furthermore, it would not have much competition, as both Honda and Yamaha, for example, do not have a model with these 350-450cc characteristics.

Today, it would compete in the market, mainly, with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Other models could also rival the Tiger 400, but we believe they would lose in terms of performance due to their inferior engine, such as the Kawasaki Versys X-300 and the BMW G 310 GS.

Both Yamaha and Honda do not have a model to compete with the Tiger 400, although the latter has the CB 500X (which is being replaced by the NX 500), but it is a crossover, not a pure adventure bike.

Anyway, it’s only a matter of time before we have a few more Triumph models on its T-Series platform, with 400cc engines and an affordable price.

Yamaha announced that it will be using low-carbon recycled steel in the packaging frames of some motorcycles in Japan, an initiative that is part of its plan to become carbon neutral by 2050.

According to the company, the recycled steel comes from steel scraps from building demolitions, discarded appliances and vehicle scraps.

They are melted in electric furnaces, instead of the traditional blast furnace that uses coke, a derivative of mineral coal and which is very polluting. As a result, this production of recycled steel produces much less CO2.

Thus, this is the first time that recycled steel produced in electric furnaces is used in motorcycle packaging frames in Japan, according to Yamaha Motor.

The company has the goal of being CO2 neutral across its entire supply chain by 2050, in line with the ‘Yamaha Motor Group Environmental Plan 2050’.

It will begin using recycled steel in October 2024 and plans to gradually increase the scope so that more packaging is made from recycled materials.

Yamaha launched the new 2025 MT-09 Y-AMT in Europe, its first motorcycle with automated manual transmission. With this technology, the new motorcycle eliminates the need for a gearshift pedal and clutch lever, providing a superior riding experience.

The Y-AMT (Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission) is similar to Honda’s E-Clutch electronic transmission system, which is already available as an option on the CB 650R and CBR 650R motorcycles.

But, unlike Honda’s system, the Y-AMT eliminates both the clutch lever and the gearshift pedal. To perform gear changes manually (MT), buttons were added to the handlebars, allowing the rider to reduce or increase gears.

2025 yamaha mt-09 y-amt

Furthermore, the system has a fully automatic mode (AT), letting the bike’s ‘brain’ decide the right time to change gears. In this case, the system has two different modes for use: ‘D+’, for more sporty riding with gear changes at higher revs, and ‘D’, for urban and natural riding, prioritizing low revs.

The new 2025 Yamaha MT-09 Y-AMT uses the same base as the standard MT-09, featuring the same 890cc three-cylinder CP3 engine, which is capable of generating up to 119 HP of maximum power.

The design is also the same, which was updated in 2024 in Europe. Yamaha says the fairing was inspired by the styling of YZ motocross bikes. However, one of the most controversial aspects of the new MT-09 is the front optical set. The introduction of a kind of pointed fairing, with the LED headlight projector positioned centrally at the top and two lines of daytime running lights (DRL) at the bottom, created a bold and unique aesthetic.

2025 yamaha mt-09 y-amt

Anyway, with the new 2025 MT-09 Y-AMT, Yamaha tries to offer a product to satisfy the needs of those who want to focus on riding, without having to worry about changing gears or operating the clutch.

Bajaj, a motorcycle and three-wheeler Indian giant, has just launched the world’s first motorcycle powered by natural gas (CNG) and gasoline.

Called Freedom NG04, it arrives to change the low displacement category, with technologies worthy of larger and more expensive motorcycles.

The highlight of the model, of course, is its 125cc engine developed and optimized to run on natural gas (CNG), in addition to also running on gasoline. On gas, the model reaches 90.5 km/h top speed. On gasoline, it can reach 93.4 km/h.

A CNG cylinder was installed under the seat and in the space where the gas tank is usually located. It has a capacity of 12.5 liters of gas or 2 kg, and allows for a range of 200 km.

bajaj freedom ng04

In addition, there is a small tank for gasoline, with a capacity of 2 liters, which allows you to ride another 130 km, but it must be used as a reserve, that is, if you run out of gas, switch to gasoline until you find a CNG station.

To allow the installation of the cylinder and make the model safer, a steel trellis frame was developed, completely exposed. In fact, the bike has very little fairing, leaving almost everything exposed. Furthermore, the rear suspension is monolink type, a differentiator in its category.

Other highlights of the model: 16″ rear wheel with 120/70 tire, front disc brake, wide handlebars, fully digital dashboard with Bluetooth connection, and LED headlights.

bajaj freedom ng04

There is a simpler entry-level version, with drum brakes on both wheels, and a partially digital dashboard, without Bluetooth connection.

Anyway, the Bajaj Freedom NG04 is sold in India with prices starting at INR 110,000 (approximately US$1,317). There is no forecast for sale in other countries.

Bajaj opened its motorcycle factory in Brazil, located in the city of Manaus, capital of Amazonas, an important Brazilian industrial hub, bringing all Indian technology to one of the most important motorcycle markets in the world.

This is, therefore, the Indian giant’s first production unit outside India, and operates under the CKD (Completely Knock Down) model, that is, the parts are brought disassembled to Brazil and assembled in the new factory.

The first motorcycle produced in the new plant was the Dominar 400, the brand’s sales leader in Brazil, and vice-leader of its ‘Naked / Roadster’ category, second only to the Yamaha MT-03, according to the Fenabrave, the Brazilian National Federation of Motor Vehicles.

According to the brand, there are already more than 150 people working in the new unit, including direct and indirect employees, with gradual growth expected in line with production growth.

bajaj factory brazil

Speaking of production, Bajaj says the goal is to produce 1,500 units per month starting in July, totaling around 9,000 units in 2024. For 2025, with the factory operating at full capacity, the goal is to reach 20,000 units produced.

“The opening of this factory is a great joy for everyone at Bajaj Auto Limited and represents the realization of our strategy, which has always been based on a long-term vision for the Brazilian market due to its size and complexity. Our teams in Brazil and India have worked in total synergy to understand the local consumer and develop products that increasingly meet their demands”, says Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Limited.

“The entire Bajaj do Brasil team is very proud to contribute to this new moment for the brand in the country. We started our operation in December 2022 and see that today, just 18 months later, we already have 21 dealerships, we sell more than 7,500 motorcycles and we are inaugurating our factory, it is a huge achievement and a great indication that we are on the right path. We are very grateful to Bajaj Auto Limited for all their support, to our network of dealers and partners for the focus and dedication that is so fundamental to the construction. of our history and, mainly, to Brazilian motorcyclists for their trust in our brand and our products”, declares Waldyr Ferreira, Managing Director of Bajaj do Brasil.

Yamaha has launched its automated manual transmission for motorcycles, called Y-AMT. This new technology arrives to eliminate the use of the gearshift pedal and clutch lever, providing a superior riding experience, according to the brand.

The Y-AMT is, in its philosophy, similar to Honda’s E-Clutch electronic transmission system, which is already equipped, as an option, on the CB 650R and CBR 650R motorcycles.

The E-Clutch is a system that allows gear changes without the need to activate the clutch, but keeps both the clutch lever and the gearshift pedal for manual use, if the rider prefers this option.

Yamaha’s Y-AMT system is different: both the clutch lever and gearshift pedal are eliminated. To perform gear changes manually (MT), buttons were added to the handlebars, allowing the rider to reduce or increase gears.

yamaha y-amt

According to the brand, “shifting by hand alone, as opposed to a foot-and-hand combination, is not only quicker but requires less thinking time, allowing the rider to hyper-focus on throttle and brake application, lean angle, body position and tyre grip levels to intensify the ride. It is for this reason that on Y-AMT models the shifting pedal will not be installed.”

Whether in manual or fully automatic mode, the company guarantees extremely fast changes, superior to the best ‘quickshifters’ on the market.

yamaha y-amt

The Y-AMT system uses two electric actuators to operate the gearbox and clutch, and weighs just 2.8 kg, meaning it is light and compact to be installed on current motorcycles, requiring no changes to the chassis or engine width, preserving the original characteristics.

Note that Honda’s E-Clutch is an option sold separately and can be installed on a motorcycle purchased without it. As for Yamaha’s system, it will be a variant on the production line, with the bike coming from the factory with this feature. In other words, you will have a motorcycle with a manual transmission and another with a Y-AMT transmission.

Anyway, we believe that the first models to receive this system will be the MT-07, the R7 and the Ténéré 700.

In addition, the bike features Brembo Supreme brakes, with calipers also painted white/red, and the colorful Supreme logo on the aluminum alloy wheels.

Ducati presented in London, during the 2024 London Bike Shed MotoShow, two Scrambler concepts that will leave any fan of the brand with their mouths watering.

One of the models, called CR24I, has a more pure Café Racer style, with a fixed front fairing that hugs the fuel tank. The round headlight complements this fairing very well and is reminiscent of the MV Agusta Superveloce.

According to the company, the lines of this concept were inspired by British motorbikes from the 60s, where riders challenged each other to take a ride around the block, before the music on the jukebox ended.

ducati scrambler concept

This bike is a true masterpiece ready for racing, at least urban. It has a single seat, street tires, low clip-on handlebars and bar-end mirrors.

The second model, called RRC24I, is completely the opposite. Minimalist, it brings a lot of simplicity and just the ideal to the bike, leaving aside less important items, such as fuel tank fairings, side panels, and even fenders. There is a small piece at the front, but we believe it shouldn’t be of any use.

Thus, it was inspired by the style of post-apocalyptic sagas portrayed in cinema and TV series. Despite this, it maintains a modern Termignoni exhaust that completes the look.

ducati scrambler concept

On this bike, the tires used are Pirelli Scorpion Rally, fully capable of tackling any type of terrain. In other words, the RR24I is practically a battle tank.

Anyway, there is no information whether one day these concepts will become a production motorcycle. For now, we can just enjoy the beautiful images.

Now it’s official. GWM (Great Wall Motor), well known for its cars, mainly electric and hybrids, has just entered the motorcycle segment with its Souo brand.

The Chinese company revealed its first model, the S2000, in GL and ST versions, which comes with a huge 2,000cc 8-cylinder flat engine.

Yes, that’s right my friends. The model is equipped with a giant engine to try to be better than the Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing Tour, its main competitor and inspiration. The Honda model has a 1,833cc, 6-cylinder engine.

The Chinese model’s engine, in addition to having 8 cylinders, also has 8 gears in its DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox. It’s also more than the Honda, which has a 7-speed DCT transmission.

In terms of design, we can say that the Souo S2000 is heavily inspired by the Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing Tour, but also by models from Harley-Davidson and even BMW, with its K 1600 GTL.

It is a touring motorcycle, prepared for the road and long distances. The GT version is complete, with side cases, top box and seat with backrest for the pillion. The ST version only has side cases, a competitor to the BMW K 1600 B.

Anyway, the company has not yet released the technical details and this information is expected to come out in a few months with the start of production.

The lightness and resistance of carbon fiber is found in the set of carbon wings, carbon license plate holder, and the front and rear carbon mudguards.

Finally, to further improve performance, while elevating the model’s design, titanium racing silencers, made in collaboration with Ducati Corse and Akrapovič, are available, guaranteeing a 2.5% increase in maximum power, while reducing the weight in 5 kg.
