Honda has launched in Europe the new 2025 CB1000 Hornet, its 1000cc ‘naked’ motorcycle and top of the Hornet family, which arrives with breathtaking performance, as well as a striking design, to dominate the segment.

The Hornet name returned to Honda’s motorcycle family in 2023, with the launch of the CB750 Hornet, a naked twin-cylinder that is a success on the European continent. After that, the CB500 Hornet arrived, to be the entry-level motorcycle in this category.

Now it’s the turn of the most powerful in the line, a bike that arrives to reaffirm the name that, in the past, was synonymous with power, modernity and aggressiveness, especially with the CB600F Hornet, which used the CBR600R engine.

To achieve this, the 2025 CB1000 Hornet uses the engine from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade superbike, with some adjustments, of course, to make it more docile for use in the city.

The 1000cc inline four-cylinder engine is capable of generating up to 111.6 kW (151.7 hp) of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque. It works together with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.

To tame this beast, a cutting-edge electronic set was incorporated, such as the Throttle By Wire (TBW), 3 riding modes, Power Control, Engine Brake Control and Traction Control (HSTC) with integrated wheelie control.

The design of this machine is unique, transmitting pure aggressiveness that is characterized by the double LED headlight and the fuel tank, which gives the impression of ‘wings folded forward’.

Taking advantage of the occasion, the company also presented the 2025 CB1000 Hornet SP, which arrives even more powerful, with more power and torque, fully adjustable Showa suspension at the front and Öhlins at the rear, Brembo Stylema front brake calipers, and Quickshifter as standard.

The 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet will be available in three color options: Grand Prix Red, Mat Iridium Gray Metallic, and Pearl Glare White. The 2025 CB1000 Hornet SP comes in Mat Ballistic Black Metallic, with Desert Gold Metallic wheels and Gold front forks.

Triumph has launched its new entry-level motorcycle in India: the Speed T4. It is, in fact, a ‘tamer’ and cheaper version of the Speed 400, offering more modest but very competitive performance, to compete with 250-350cc motorcycles.

To make it cheaper than its ‘sister’ Speed 400, Triumph tweaked the 398cc single-cylinder engine, reducing power and torque, but delivering maximum numbers in a lower rpm range.

The Speed T4’s engine produces 31 hp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm, and 36 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Just for comparison, the same engine that powers the Speed 400 produces 40 hp at 8,000 rpm, and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

triumph speed t4

So for many people, the new Speed T4 is a much more friendly bike for daily urban use, offering convincing performance with good torque at low revs.

Other items that were changed to keep costs down were the front suspension, which is traditional and not Upside Down like the Speed 400, the traction control, which is not equipped on the new bike, and the tires, which are no longer radial and have a thinner profile. In addition, the seat received an extra layer of foam to make it even more comfortable.

Otherwise, it remains the same bike and with the same quality present in other Triumph products. It has full-LED lighting, analog-digital panel, 6-speed gearbox, assisted and slipper clutch, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS.

triumph speed t4

The new 2025 Triumph Speed T4 is sold in India starting at INR 217,000 (approximately US$ 2,600). The 2025 model of the Speed 400, meanwhile, is priced starting at INR 240,000 (approximately US$ 2,867).

Anyway, there are no plans to sell this model in other countries.

Yamaha launched the new 2025 MT-09 Y-AMT in Europe, its first motorcycle with automated manual transmission. With this technology, the new motorcycle eliminates the need for a gearshift pedal and clutch lever, providing a superior riding experience.

The Y-AMT (Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission) is similar to Honda’s E-Clutch electronic transmission system, which is already available as an option on the CB 650R and CBR 650R motorcycles.

But, unlike Honda’s system, the Y-AMT eliminates both the clutch lever and the gearshift pedal. To perform gear changes manually (MT), buttons were added to the handlebars, allowing the rider to reduce or increase gears.

2025 yamaha mt-09 y-amt

Furthermore, the system has a fully automatic mode (AT), letting the bike’s ‘brain’ decide the right time to change gears. In this case, the system has two different modes for use: ‘D+’, for more sporty riding with gear changes at higher revs, and ‘D’, for urban and natural riding, prioritizing low revs.

The new 2025 Yamaha MT-09 Y-AMT uses the same base as the standard MT-09, featuring the same 890cc three-cylinder CP3 engine, which is capable of generating up to 119 HP of maximum power.

The design is also the same, which was updated in 2024 in Europe. Yamaha says the fairing was inspired by the styling of YZ motocross bikes. However, one of the most controversial aspects of the new MT-09 is the front optical set. The introduction of a kind of pointed fairing, with the LED headlight projector positioned centrally at the top and two lines of daytime running lights (DRL) at the bottom, created a bold and unique aesthetic.

2025 yamaha mt-09 y-amt

Anyway, with the new 2025 MT-09 Y-AMT, Yamaha tries to offer a product to satisfy the needs of those who want to focus on riding, without having to worry about changing gears or operating the clutch.

Ducati has launched a special, limited edition of its Monster motorcycle in honor of the late and talented three-time F1 World Champion Ayrton Senna.

Named Monster Senna, the model features the iconic colors used by Senna on his helmet for years when he competed in the F1 Grand Prix. The colors, of course, are a reference to the Brazilian flag, yellow, green and blue.

Ducati says that only 341 units will be produced and made available to collectors. This number has a special meaning: 3 refers to the number of titles won by Senna; 41 refers to the number of victories achieved by Senna in GPs, that is, the number of times he stepped on the highest place on the podium.

ducati monster senna

Aytorn Senna and Ducati have always had a good relationship, with the Brazilian being a fan of the Italian brand’s bikes. He was one of the first to own a Ducati 900 series, the Ducati 916, which he used whenever he was in Monte Carlo.

But this wasn’t the first Ducati in his life. He was given a Ducati 851 SP by the Ducati owner at the time, Claudio Castiglioni. Castiglioni was also a fan of Senna and his talent.

In the following years, a partnership between the Senna brand and Ducati was formed and some models were launched. With this, the Ducati 916 Senna was created, launched in 1994, the year of the fateful accident that took the life of the Brazilian F1 driver. Two more series of this bike were launched in 1997 and 1998.

In 2014, a special version of the 1199 Panigale appeared, with only 161 units produced and sold only in the Brazilian market. 161 is the number of Grand Prix contested by Senna.

Anyway, the Monster Senna features, in addition to the colors, some additional details, such as the yellow/green/blue label on the black wheels, the brake calipers painted yellow, and the Termignoni carbon fiber exhaust silencer.

And, of course, each one comes with a numbered plate, a certificate of authenticity and a motorcycle cover.

Ducati has launched in Europe the 2023 Panigale V4 R, its 998cc supersport bike, which arrives with a series of improvements, including a new engine with more than 240 hp of maximum power, to win on the most demanding tracks.

According to the brand, the new model offers the most sophisticated and refined technological solutions, which bring the road supersport bike even closer to the racing bikes used in the WorldSBK Championship.

In addition to its own improvements, the 2023 Panigale V4 R receives the same electronics package that was featured on the 2023 version of the Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S, which further enhances the riding feel and performance on the track.

In short, it features the new Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 software, which features a different gear-to-gear calibration in each of the three selectable levels, a new strategy for the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), a new strategy for the cooler, capable of offering better management of operating temperatures and greater thermal comfort for the rider, and a refinement strategies of the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ride by Wire electronic throttle.

2023 ducati panigale v4 r

Finally, the new 2023 Panigale V4 R received a revision in the aerodynamic package, with new two-element carbon fiber wings (main + flap) that guarantee the same aerodynamic load, but are more compact and thinner, and paintwork inspired by the MotoGP, which integrates the white plates with the number “1” highlighted.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine of the 2023 Panigale V4 R is the 998 cm³ Desmosedici Stradale R derived from MotoGP, capable of generating up to 218 hp of maximum power at 15,500 rpm, in its standard configuration, respecting the emission limits of Euro5.

But with the appropriate racing exhaust, the new engine delivers up to 237 hp of maximum power and if it uses a new special oil, developed by Shell in collaboration with Ducati Corse, the maximum power reaches a monstrous 240.5 hp, something extraordinary.

To achieve these numbers, longitudinally “drilled” titanium connecting rods, DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface treated pistons, and a more aggressive profile of the intake cams were used.

The transmission is a 6-speed with dry clutch, in addition to the quick-shift system, and the gear ratio is the same used in the WorldSBK.

2023 ducati panigale v4 r

Chassis

The 2023 Panigale V4 R features a lightweight magnesium front chassis and cast aluminum rear frame. In addition, it features electronically controlled Öhlins NPX 25/30 pressurized fork, Öhlins TTX36 rear shock and Öhlins steering damper.

The bike’s bodywork has also been updated, with the adoption of a brushed aluminum tank with an increased capacity to 17 liters and a profile that offers better support for the rider’s arms and legs under braking and cornering.

Conclusion

The 2023 Panigale V4 R is equipped with a state-of-the-art electronics package based on the use of a 6-axis inertial platform that is also present in the other models of the Panigale family, in addition to an improved color TFT panel, and Full-LED lighting.

According to the company, the new model will be produced in a numbered series with the progressive number and model name engraved on the billet aluminum steering.

Honda has launched in Europe the new 2023 CB750 Hornet, its newest 750cc ‘naked streetfighter’ motorcycle, which arrives with a 90 HP twin-cylinder engine and an overall design reminiscent of the smaller ‘sister’ CB 500F.

So, to the disappointment of some, the new Hornet does not have the 4-cylinder engine that was the main feature of the previous models, but it arrives with much more embedded technology, for a whole new generation of riders.

Design

Despite the extremely aggressive and futuristic sketches, the design of the 2023 CB750 Hornet is a little simpler and very reminiscent of the smaller ‘sister’ CB 500F. Of course, it brings some of its own sharper lines, with a very fluid design, from front to rear.

The front optics are very similar to the 500cc bike, but a little more compact, with sharp angles and lines. On top of it is the new color TFT panel.

2023 honda cb750 hornet

The fuel tank has aggressive lines and has small fairings on the sides that evoke all the sportiness of the model.

Finally, the rear is almost the same as the CB 500F, without much daring, but at least it has its own flashlight, which sticks out, breaking the sameness and passes more aggressiveness.

Chassis

The new 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet arrives with an extremely compact and lightweight chassis, achieved through a technological process of stiffening, thinning the main/bottom tube and optimizing the pivot shape, to produce an extremely strong platform, with a balance of rigidity and flexibility.

2023 honda cb750 hornet

According to the company, the new chassis weighs only 16.6 kg, that is, 1.9 kg less than that of the CB 650R, which weighs 18.5 kg, just for comparison.

In addition, all suspension and brakes on the new bike are high-performance items and are intended to increase sporty handling performance. At the front, it is equipped with an USD 41mm Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork Big Piston) fork. At the rear, it features the damper connected to the steel swingarm via Pro-Link with 5-stage preload adjustment.

Finally, in terms of brakes, it features dual 296mm front discs and Nissin radial-mount four-piston calipers. The wheels are 17″ fitted with 120/70-17 tires at the front and 160/60-17 at the rear.

Engine

The 2023 CB750 Hornet hits the market with a new engine made especially for this bike. According to the company, it’s designed for all riders to explore to the fullest, with ‘exciting’ peak power output, but also to offer affordable low to mid-range usability.

2023 honda cb750 hornet

It is a 755 cm³ parallel twin, 8-valves Unican, with a 270° crank and irregular firing order, capable of generating up to 67.5 kW (90 HP) of maximum power at 9,500 rpm, and 75 Nm (7.6 kgfm) of torque at 7,250 rpm.

It works in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch. According to Honda, the new bike is capable of reaching up to 205 km/h.

Technology

In terms of technology, the new 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet does not lag behind the competition and comes as standard with Throttle By Wire, 4 riding modes (RAIN, STANDARD, SPORT and CUSTOM), 3 levels of Engine Power, Engine Brake and HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) with integrated Wheelie Control.

2023 honda cb750 hornet

In addition, it has a 5″ color TFT instrument panel, Full-LED lighting, ‘Honda Smartphone Voice Control’ system and ‘Emergency Stop Signal’.

Anyway, the 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet will be available in the following color options: Pearl Glare White (with Metallic Red frame and red anodized forks), Graphite Black (with Metallic Red Flame frame and red anodized forks), Matte Iridium Gray Metallic and Mat Goldfinch Yellow.

With this new engine, the scooter gained HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control). This feature, which is often associated with large motorcycles and premium Honda motorcycles, serves to limit engine torque if a difference in the rotational speed of the front and rear tires is detected, so that the potential for tire slippage can be avoided.

In addition, it is very economical since, according to the company, it has a consumption of up to 45 km/L (tests using the WMTC-EURO 3 method) and, therefore, it can run up to 364 km with a tank of fuel.

More comfort, practicality and technology

More comfortable and practical, the new 2023 ADV160 arrives a little wider than the previous model, which allows for a wider footrest, in addition to increasing the space under the seat by 2 liters. In addition, the seat height has been reduced to 780mm (from 795mm), allowing you to place both feet on the ground with ease.

The overall design of the scooter has not changed. It continues with very aggressive lines and full of angles, which became a reference for an adventurous scooter. It features Full-LED lighting with separate headlights, Daytime Running Light (DRL) and LED turn signals with emergency stop.

Moving to the front, it received a slightly larger windshield, which remains adjustable in two levels. In addition, it gained a new digital LCD panel, which brings much more information, such as tachometer, battery indicators, external temperature indicators, average fuel consumption, instantaneous consumption, engine oil change indicators, hours, Trip A and Trip B.

Finally, a 5V 2.1A USB socket was installed in the glove compartment of the front console, replacing the old 12V socket.

Mechanically, it continues with the same set, that is, disc brakes on both wheels (240mm at the front, 220mm at the rear), Showa suspension at the rear, 165mm of ground clearance, ABS brake, aluminum alloy wheels, and dual purpose tires measuring 110/80-14 at the front and 130/70-13 at the rear.
