Ducati has launched the 2025 model of the Multistrada V4 in Europe, its most extreme adventure crossover, which is even more refined, more comfortable, and even features technology used in MotoGP for automatic suspension lowering.

One of the highlights of the model is this lowering system called the ‘Automatic Lowering Device’. It quickly lowers the bike by up to 30 mm when the speed drops below 10 km/h.

When the rider accelerates again and the speed exceeds 50 km/h, the bike returns to its normal height, all done very quickly.

multistrada v4 2025

With this, shorter riders can be even more at ease, as maneuvering this tall bike is much easier and more comfortable.

Another highlight of the new Multistrada V4 is the extended deactivation of the rear cylinders, further reducing fuel consumption by up to 6%.

According to the company, the model already featured deactivation of the rear cylinders when the bike was stopped and idling. The new feature now is the extension of this feature to also when the bike is moving.

multistrada v4 2025

The cylinders are only reactivated after a certain speed or when a little more torque is required, depending on the position of the accelerator. This feature cannot be disabled and is present in all riding modes.

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 2025 (including the V4 S and Pikes Peak variants) will hit stores in October in three color options: Ducati Red, Thrilling Black and Arctic White.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is a sales success in the markets where it is sold. The 373cc motorcycle is a mid-sized touring bike, offering good performance on the road, with excellent value for money.

Now, rumors say that the next generation of this motorcycle could gain a new platform, completely different from the current one, and become much more sophisticated.

This would reposition the Dominar 400 in the company’s catalog, no longer being very affordable. It would then be a model for those who wanted to move up a step in the company, offering more but also charging more.

The Pulsar NS400Z, a recently launched 400cc naked motorcycle, would take over as the entry point into the 400cc category for the Indian manufacturer, offering great performance at an affordable price.

2024 dominar 400

In India, Bajaj has two main lines: the Pulsar and the Dominar. The Pulsar has more street and urban models, with great performance and cheaper, generally with shorter wheelbases and lighter weights. The Dominar line is more focused on touring, with heavier bikes and longer wheelbases.

The next generation of the Dominar 400 could arrive with a new design, chassis and engine, as well as incorporating more technology, to make it even more ready for medium/long distance trips.

Of course, all this is just rumors, we’ll just have to wait and see how things unfold. But apparently, the 400-500cc segment could get a lot hotter in the coming years.

Now it’s official. GWM (Great Wall Motor), well known for its cars, mainly electric and hybrids, has just entered the motorcycle segment with its Souo brand.

The Chinese company revealed its first model, the S2000, in GL and ST versions, which comes with a huge 2,000cc 8-cylinder flat engine.

Yes, that’s right my friends. The model is equipped with a giant engine to try to be better than the Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing Tour, its main competitor and inspiration. The Honda model has a 1,833cc, 6-cylinder engine.

souo s2000

The Chinese model’s engine, in addition to having 8 cylinders, also has 8 gears in its DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox. It’s also more than the Honda, which has a 7-speed DCT transmission.

In terms of design, we can say that the Souo S2000 is heavily inspired by the Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing Tour, but also by models from Harley-Davidson and even BMW, with its K 1600 GTL.

It is a touring motorcycle, prepared for the road and long distances. The GT version is complete, with side cases, top box and seat with backrest for the pillion. The ST version only has side cases, a competitor to the BMW K 1600 B.

Anyway, the company has not yet released the technical details and this information is expected to come out in a few months with the start of production.

Ducati has done it again, breaking boundaries and setting new standards in the world of motorcycles with the all-new 2024 Ducati Multistrada V4 RS. If you’re a motorcycling enthusiast, this bike is set to blow your mind.

The Heart of a Superbike

Under the sleek and elegant body of the Multistrada V4 RS lies the heart of a superbike – the Panigale V4-derived Desmosedici Stradale engine, complete with a dry clutch and dedicated electronic calibrations. This engine unleashes unique performance and riding sensations, making every ride memorable.

The Multistrada V4 RS is the only one in the family to adopt the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. It offers smooth and regular power delivery at low revs and an exhilarating experience near the limiter. The exhaust note through the Akrapovič silencer is deep at low levels and thrilling at high rpm.

According to Ducati, this engine (in this configuration) develops a maximum power of 180 hp, with limiter at 13,500 rpm.

Finally, in a nod to Ducati’s racing heritage, the 2024 Multistrada V4 RS features a STM-EVO SBK dry clutch made from billet aluminum. This not only smoothes out your ride but also enriches the exhaust sound with a characteristic metallic timbre.

The Perfect Balance

Ducati has maintained the perfect balance that has always distinguished the Multistrada family. The sportiest Multistrada boasts Öhlins suspension, a single-sided aluminum swingarm, and forged rims. This is a bike that’s ready to handle any road you throw at it.

The chassis of the Multistrada V4 RS is designed for precision and reactivity in sporty riding. Marchesini forged aluminum wheels make it more effective, and Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspensions self-adjust based on your riding style.

The V4 RS offers sportier ergonomics with higher and further back footrests for increased lean angles. The handlebar is lower, narrower, and rigidly fixed to the plate to enhance the riding feel, striking a perfect balance between sport and comfort.

]]>
The year 2024 brings exciting news for motorcycle enthusiasts across Europe as Honda launches the revamped NT1100, its 1,084 cc touring motorcycle, based on the CRF 1100L Africa Twin.

This two-wheeled marvel combines comfortable touring, agile handling, and cutting-edge technology, making it a standout in the world of motorcycles.

In this article, we’ll delve into the key features and innovations that make the 2024 Honda NT1100 a true standout in the motorcycle industry.

Styling and Comfort

One of the first things that catch the eye when you lay eyes on the 2024 Honda NT1100 is its sleek and subtle styling. The design isn’t just for aesthetics; it’s engineered for efficient aerodynamic performance. The riding position is tailored explicitly for touring, making those long journeys a breeze.

2024 honda nt1100

Customizability is at the core of the NT1100’s design. The 5-way adjustable screen height and angle ensure that you can find the perfect setting to shield yourself from the wind while maintaining a clear view of the road. Upper and lower wind deflectors add an extra layer of protection for the rider.

Technological Marvel

Honda has truly embraced the future with the 2024 NT1100. The centerpiece of this technological marvel is the 6.5-inch TFT touch screen. It not only provides full-color, customizable displays but also offers seamless connectivity with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®.

This means you can stay connected, access maps, and enjoy your favorite music without taking your eyes off the road.

The NT1100 doesn’t stop at infotainment; it’s packed with convenience features. Cruise control and heated grips come as standard equipment, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride in all conditions.

Sizable integrated panniers provide ample storage for your gear, and a center stand is also included for added convenience.

2024 honda nt1100

Impressive Performance

Under the hood—or should we say, under the tank—lies a twin-cylinder engine inherited from the legendary Africa Twin. However, this engine has been meticulously tuned for super-smooth acceleration and a satisfying low-rpm sound.

What’s even more impressive is that this performance doesn’t come at the expense of fuel economy. The engine’s efficiency allows for an astonishing 400km range from the 20L fuel tank.

Yamaha has launched in Europe the 2023 TRACER 9 GT+, its most extreme high-displacement Sport Touring motorcycle, which comes with state-of-the-art electronics and even radar, to be the best option in the segment.

One of the highlights of the TRACER 9 GT+ is its millimeter-wave radar system, installed on the front of the bike between the headlights, which allows the use of important technologies such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and the Unified Brake System (UBS) linked to the radar.

With ACC, the new model has the ability to automatically maintain a fixed distance from the vehicle in front, through constant distance measurement made by the radar.

In addition, ACC has new features such as ‘cornering assistance’ (which inhibits speed increases when the system detects that the bike is cornering) and ‘passing assistance’ (which accelerates more smoothly than usual when it detects that the motorcycle’s blinker is on and it is performing an overtaking manoeuvre).

2023 yamaha tracer 9 gt+

Finally, the radar-linked Unified Brake System (UBS) provides greater control using data from the radar and the 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to assist and regulate front and rear braking forces.

According to the company, there are three main elements in the system that operate only when the BC (Brake Control) is on. Firstly, the brake assist intervenes when the system detects that a collision is imminent. Second, front/rear brake assist adjusts the forces on both wheels for stable deceleration. And third, cornering brake control automatically adjusts braking force to inhibit tire slip when the bike is leaned over.

The 2023 TRACER 9 GT+ features Full-LED lighting and a new 7″ color TFT panel with three different screen themes and smartphone connection to access the Yamaha MyRide app.

In addition, it arrives with electronically controlled semi-active KYB integrated suspension, integrated Riding Modes, tilt-sensitive 3-mode Traction Control (TCS) system, Slip Control System (SCS), Wheelie Control and 3rd generation Quickshifter.

The 2023 Yamaha TRACER 9 GT+ has a 889 cm³ CP3 (inline 3 cylinders) liquid cooled engine, capable of generating up to 119 hp of maximum power and 9.4 kgfm of torque. In addition, it features optimized gear ratios and a refined slip and assist clutch.

2023 yamaha tracer 9 gt+

Finally, the model has an aluminum CF Deltabox chassis that, together with an aluminum swingarm, provides excellent stability at high speeds, without compromising agility.

Anyway, the 2023 Yamaha TRACER 9 GT+ hits stores in Europe from May 2023 in Icon Performance and Power Gray colors.

Zero Motorcycles presented in the US the DSR/X, its first premium adventure electric motorcycle, which arrives with high-end specifications to explore the most remote places on the planet.

According to the company, the DSR/X was built specifically for pure adventure from the ground up, incorporating the company’s latest and greatest technologies and an all-new chassis optimized for maximum strength, minimum weight and maximum capacity.

This chassis is made with a steel trellis frame, which is often used in projects that require strength while reducing as much weight as possible. On this bike, part of the chassis is exposed, also revealing the huge battery.

zero dsr/x

The Zero DSR/X has a modern and elegant design and geometry, characteristic of the brand, with a front very similar to the sporty SR/S. But, as it is an adventurer, it has specific suspensions for that, with a fully adjustable Showa set.

Another highlight of the model is its linked braking system controlled by the integrated Bosch Advanced Stability Control System, which activates it instantly when detecting a loss of traction or any slippage. The system immediately applies the right amount of braking to the front and rear brakes simultaneously, providing additional control when going up or down steep, loose terrain.

In addition, it features Hold braking, which is engaged when you stop on a steep slope by squeezing the brake lever all the way down and releasing it, serving as a temporary parking brake.

zero dsr/x

The Zero DSR/X is equipped with the Z-Force 75-10X central motor, exclusive to this bike, with 75 kW (100 HP) of maximum power and 166 ft-lb (225 Nm) of maximum torque. It features a Gates carbon belt drive, which allows it to reach a top speed of up to 112 mph (180 km/h) and features 5 riding modes: Sport, Street, Eco, Rain and Canyon.

Finally, the model is equipped with the Z-Force 17.3 kWh battery, which is the brand’s largest battery, and an optional Power Tank can be installed, for a maximum capacity of 21 kWh. With the standard battery, the range is up to 180 miles (290 km) in the city, 107 miles (172 km) on the highway (at 55 mph – 90 km/h) and 85 miles (137 km) on the highway (at 70 mph – 113 km/h).

Anyway, the Zero DSR/X is sold in the US for from US$ 24,495, that is, it is more expensive than a BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, sold for US$ 20,345.

Suzuki has launched the new 2023 V-Strom 1050DE, its most extreme 1050cc bigtrail bike, which comes with a 21″ front wheel and longer-travel suspension, making it even more apt for off-roading.

Now, there are two models that will be marketed: V-Strom 1050DE and V-Strom 1050. The first is more geared towards off-roading, with 21″ spoked wheels at the front. The V-Strom 1050 is equipped with aluminum alloy wheels and therefore more suitable for the road. The ‘XT’ nomenclature is no longer used.

The Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE introduces a new package of features specifically aimed at maximizing performance and control on gravel and dirt roads. Features include a 40mm longer wheelbase, 25mm higher ground clearance and 20mm wider handlebars on each side.

Also, as mentioned, it is equipped with spoked wheels and aluminum rims (21 inches at the front), longer rear swingarm, and longer-travel suspension, with 170 mm of travel at the front and 168 mm at the rear.

2023 suzuki v-strom 1050de

As for the wheels, it should be noted that the two models use different tires: The V-Strom 1050DE is equipped with Dunlop TRAILMAX MIXTOUR tires measuring 90/90-21 at the front (tube type) and 150/70-17 at the rear (tubeless). The V-Strom 1050, on the other hand, leaves the factory with Bridgestone BATTLAX ADVENTURE A41 tires, measuring 110/80-19 at the front and 150/70-17 at the rear, both tubeless.

Finally, the V-Strom 1050DE adopts G (Gravel) mode in the traction control system and ABS which can be turned off at the rear wheel. Also new to the model is the 5-inch color TFT instrument panel, which provides the rider with information from the latest electronic controls.

2023 suzuki v-strom 1050

Design

The design of the 2023 V-Strom 1050DE has not changed, it remains inspired by the legendary DR-Z (Desert Racing Prototype) and the production model DR-BIG. The “nozzle” and color schemes pay homage to the aforementioned models. The design is aggressive, with straighter lines and defined angles.

In addition, it continues with a rectangular headlight, with vertically stacked LED lighting. In fact, the lighting is Full-LED, that is, headlights, flashlights and turn signals (blinkers) rely on this technology.

Engine and technology

The new 2023 V-Strom 1050DE continues with the same liquid-cooled 90˚ ‘V’ 2-cylinder 1037cc DOHC engine, which is capable of generating up to 107 HP (79 kW) of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 100 Nm (10.2 kgfm) of torque at 6,000 rpm.

2023 suzuki v-strom 1050de

It works together with a 6-speed gearbox, equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, electronic throttle bodies, and a low RPM assistant.

In addition, it comes standard with a Bi-directional Quick Shift System, Traction Control, Cruise Control, 3 Riding Modes, Hill Hold Control System and Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle system.

Availability

The new 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE is expected to hit stores in Europe and North America in early 2023. For now, prices have not yet been released. The current ‘XT’ model retails in the UK from £12,399.

Honda has launched in Europe the 2023 NC 750X, its 750cc adventurous crossover motorcycle, which arrives with new colors and graphics, but maintains the same mechanical set as the previous model.

The 2023 NC 750X is now available in Mat Jeans Blue Metallic with Silver trim, Pearl Deep Mud Gray with Silver trim, Candy Chromosphere Red with Silver trim, and Ballistic Black Metallic Mat with Black trim.

So the NC 750X is trying to continue its reign as a favorite across Europe since its introduction (originally as the NC700X in 2012), a preference won thanks to its low-fuel, torque-laden twin-cylinder engine, relaxed riding position, long-travel suspension and distinctive adventurous styling.

For 2023, it doesn’t change its mechanical set or its design, both updated in 2021, when it received light body updates and a new lighter and more powerful engine.

2023 honda nc 750x

How is the NC 750X

The 2023 NC 750X had, in 2021, a slightly revised design, with sharper lines and more defined angles, and the inclusion of new LED headlights with DRL (Daytime Running Light), in addition to turn signals, also LED.

It also received a new windshield, which brought more protection from wind and rain. In addition, the side panels and side covers are slimmer and the seat narrower.

Finally, the model has been equipped with a new fully digital LCD panel, which allows the management of the 3 riding modes through the selection switch on the left grip.

In terms of mechanics, the NC 750X engine was revised and became 1.2kg lighter and started to deliver more power at higher rpm, reaching 7,000 rpm at the beginning of the red mark.

Peak power was increased to 43.1 kW (58.9 HP) at 6,750 rpm, with 69 Nm (7.03 kgfm) of maximum torque at 4,750 rpm. Along with the performance boost are shorter gear ratios compared to first, second and third gears (for manual and DCT), plus HSTC – Honda Selectable Torque Control – traction control.

2023 honda nc 750x

In addition, the model also gained an assisted and slipper clutch in its 6-speed manual transmission. As expected, a version with the DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission is offered.

Finally, the NC 750X also received a chassis revision, which was 1.8kg lighter than the 2020 model, contributing to a total weight reduction of 6kg.

The post Honda launches new 2022 NT1100: Africa Twin-based tourer appeared first on MotoNews World.

]]>
Honda launched in Europe the 2022 NT1100, its new tourer bike based on the CRF1100L Africa Twin. The model arrives to be another option in the company’s catalogue, with the light adventurer’s capabilities and the comfort of a tourer.

We can say that the new NT1100 is a ‘bridge’ between the adventurer CRF1100L Africa Twin and the Grand Tourer GL 1800 Gold Wing. The Africa Twin is designed for off-road use and the Gold Wing is designed for the road. The NT1100 manages to do both: it allows for some off-road use and is ready to travel.

The new 2022 Honda NT1100 arrives to fight in the segment that today has Kawasaki Versys 1000, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, BMW S 1000 XR, BMW F 900 XR and Yamaha TRACER 9.

2022 honda nt1100 grey

Design

The Honda NT1100 has a design, mainly frontal, similar to that of the X-ADV adventure scooter, with clean but aggressive lines, and double headlights that extend to the sides and towards the handles.

The tall, wide windshield offers 5 levels of adjustment, both in height and angulation, allowing for optimal protection against wind and rain. In addition, there are upper and lower deflectors, which help to deflect wind from your arms and legs.

Speaking of legs, they fit into the spaces created by the fairings, allowing the knee to ‘hug’ the tank and stay well protected.

As it was designed to offer more comfort and practicality for everyday use, the seat height is 820 mm, unlike the Africa Twin which has the standard 870 mm (850 mm in the lower position).

In addition, it leaves the store with panniers (rigid side cases) as a standard accessory, with 33 liters of capacity on the left and 32 liters on the right.

Finally, the NT1100 will be available in the following color options: Matte Iridium Gray Metallic, Pearl Glare White, and Graphite Black.

Chassis

The 2022 Honda NT1100 features the same chassis and engine as the CRF1100L Africa Twin, ie a steel semi-double cradle frame and bolted aluminum subframe.

The suspensions have been replaced: off-roading comes out and models focused on asphalt and with a slightly more sporty feel come in. It has a 43 mm Showa USD front fork and a mono shock, also Showa, at the rear, both adjustable (the rear has a hydraulic remote spring adjustment).

Also with asphalt in mind, the wheels are 17″ cast aluminum, fitted with tires measuring 120/70-17 at the front and 180/55-17 at the rear.

Finally, offering great braking power, it has a double 310 mm brake disc at the front with 4-piston calipers and radial mounting. To avoid locking up in heavy and emergency braking, it has the ABS system.

Engine and gearbox

As it is based on the Africa Twin, the NT1100 has the same engine and gearbox as the adventurer, with just a few adjustments. For example, the intake and exhaust have been tuned to provide smooth, powerful acceleration and pleasant ‘throb’ at low rpm.

The engine is a 1084 cm³ SOHC parallel twin cylinder with 8 valves, electronic injection and liquid cooling, capable of generating up to 75 kW (101 HP) of maximum power at 7,250 rpm and 104 Nm / 10.8 kgfm of torque at 6,250 rpm.

It works in conjunction with the optional DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) automatic transmission, in addition to the standard 6-speed ‘manual’ transmission.

In terms of electronics, it has Throttle By Wire, 3 standard riding modes (Urban, Rain and Tour) in addition to 2 customizable modes, Traction Control (Honda Selectable Torque Control) with 3 levels of action, Wheelie Control, Power Mode and Engine Brake, also with 3 levels.

Technology

The 2022 Honda NT1100 arrives with Full-LED lighting with DRL (daytime running light), automatic canceling turn signals and emergency stop signals, USB jack and 12V ACC connector.

The panel is fully digital in 6.5″ color TFT and touch screen, which offers 3 modes of screen display: GOLD shows all numeric and mode information; SILVER focuses on the speedometer and tachometer; and BRONZE, on the tachometer.

Finally, it offers Smartphone connection via Bluetooth, in addition to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®.

Honda released a video teaser about its next release: the 2022 NT 1100, its new sport touring bike that will be launched on October 21st, with the same engine as the CRF 1100L Africa Twin.

The new 2022 Honda NT 1100 arrives to fight in the segment that today has Kawasaki Versys 1000, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, BMW S 1000 XR, BMW F 900 XR and Yamaha TRACER 9.

In the past, the company has already sold ‘tourer’ models with the initials ‘NT’, such as the Honda NTV 700 Deauville, a model with a sports road proposal, with a certain fairing, ample windshield and even side cases.

You can see very little in the video teaser released, but the model will have a large vertical windshield and side cases, as well as engine/crankcase protector and auxiliary lights. See the video teaser below:

With the launch, the Honda NT 1100 completes the brand’s touring line, which today begins with the CB 500X, passes through the NC 750X and ends with the luxurious GL 1800 Gold Wing. Currently, there is a gap between NC and GL.

For now there is no more information about the new bike. We have to wait for the release to bring all the details and specifications.

Like the Trident 660, the new Tiger Sport 660 arrives with cutting edge technology, with premium brand components, usually present in larger and luxurious motorcycles.

It comes standard equipped with three premium features: two riding modes (Road and Rain), switchable traction control (which can be turned off completely) and ‘ride-by-wire’ throttle system.

Ducati has launched in Europe the new 2022 Multistrada V2, which arrives lighter (compared to the Multistrada 950), with ergonomic improvements, a series of engine updates and new graphics.

With the motto ‘Your everyday wonder’, the Multistrada V2 is the ideal bike to enjoy every trip, but versatile in daily use and in the city, always with its sporty character and unmistakable Ducati style.

Design and ergonomics

The design of the Multistrada V2 is elegant and sporty, characterized by fluid lines, clean surfaces and a balance between front and rear volume that is light and slim. It also has new graphics on the side fairings, which show the bike’s name on both sides.

The bike’s ergonomics have also been reworked, making it more comfortable and intuitive, capable of putting any rider at ease in any situation. The seat height has been reduced to 830 mm, and now has a redesigned, narrower and more compact shape between the rider’s legs.

These changes ensure safety when the motorcycle is parked and increase confidence when maneuvering at low speed, even with a passenger and full luggage. In addition, a lower seat and suspension lowering kit are available which, when combined, allow a seat height of 790 mm to be achieved.

The new shape of the seat provides a flat area that guarantees the rider freedom of movement, improving the level of comfort and allowing him to find his ideal position. Finally, there was an improvement in the riding position, with new footpegs inherited from the Multistrada V4.

Engine and chassis

The new 2022 Multistrada V2 is equipped with the 937 cm³ Testastretta 2-cylinder engine, with desmodromic distribution, four valves per cylinder and liquid cooling, capable of generating up to 113 HP of maximum power and 94 Nm/10 kgfm of torque. It is also available in the 35 kW version for A2 license holders.

According to the company, it is very linear and smooth at low revs, but has a ready and vigorous torque that, if necessary, can release all the Ducati character, typically sporty, capable of causing adrenaline rush.

In addition, the evolution of the Testastretta 11° mounted on the new Multistrada V2 has important improvements: new connecting rods, new 8-disc hydraulic clutch and an updated gearbox.

The bike’s chassis is agile and intuitive, with a 19″ front wheel that ensures a smooth and comfortable ride, always with the ideal level of reaction and precision. In addition, it has a semi-active Ducati Skyhook EVO Suspension (standard on the S version), which manages to absorb the irregularities of the floor and always guarantee the ideal tuning of the vehicle, improving safety and comfort.

Finally, another area of improvement was the reduction in weight of the bike, which, by working on various elements, resulted in a 5 kg reduction in weight compared to the Multistrada 950. The engine upgrade produced a reduction of around 2 kg, including clutch (1.5 kg) and its cover, gearbox drum and connecting rods.

Technology

The 2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 is equipped as standard with an advanced electronics package, which offers everything you need to travel in comfort and safety. The package includes Cornering ABS, Vehicle Hold Control, Ducati Traction Control, four Riding Modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro), and the new Ducati Brake Light system.

In the S version, a complete segment-reference option package is available, which includes the addition of the Ducati Skyhook electronic suspension, Cruise Control, Full-LED lighting equipped with Ducati Cornering Lights, Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down, Hands Free system, and 5” TFT high resolution color screen instrument panel.

The bike’s color choices are as follows: “Ducati Red” with black wheels, available for both the Multistrada V2 and the Multistrada V2 S, along with the new “Street Grey” color scheme with black frame and red wheels “GP Red”, which is only available for the S version.

For the Multistrada V2 family there are two optional configuration levels that can be ordered directly from the factory. Essential is available for the Multistrada V2 and Multistrada V2 S, while the Travel package, with side bags, heated handles and center stand, can be ordered for the S version.

It is sold in Italy starting from €14.990.

Triumph announced that its new adventurous middleweight crossover bike Tiger Sport 660 is arriving on October 5th. The new motorcycle will compete in the medium displacement Crossovers (Adventure Sports models) segment.

Along with the announcement, it was released a new image of the final bike, in red color. Now it is more clear how the Tiger Sport 660 looks, especially on its front, with double horizontal LED headlights. The design is sharp, with well defined angles.

These are the first information and images released by the English manufacturer about this new model, which is in the final stages of testing.

Also, in the previously released image, we can see that the new bike has good frontal protection, with some fairing and a windshield. The suspension appears to be slightly higher than on the Trident 660, with a USD Showa fork at the front and monoshock at the rear.

Talking about Trident 660, it appears that Tiger Sport 660 uses the base of the ‘naked’ bike. Chassis and engine will likely be the same, perhaps with some tweaking.

In one of the images we can see the Tiger Sport 660 equipped with rigid side cases (saddlebags), which allows you to carry a certain amount of luggage.

The 660 cm³ 3-cylinders engine that equips Trident 660 is capable of generating up to 81 HP (60 kW) of maximum power and 64Nm / 6.5 kgfm of torque.

So, stay tuned on October 5th to witness the dawn of a new adventure sports era.

Moto Guzzi presented in Europe, through a teaser video, the new 2022 V100 Mandello, its high displacement crossover model. It arrives with liquid cooled engine developed in partnership with Aprilia.

This new model will be officially launched at the 2021 Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) in November in Italy.

The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello has a new, more fluid and up-to-date design, with a small front fairing. The highlight is the electrically adjustable windshield and aerodynamic appendages on the sides of the tank, also adjustable, to increase protection from the wind.

Now, the mechanical highlight goes to the new engine developed in partnership with Aprilia. It remains a V2 at 90 degrees transverse, but now features liquid cooling and a downward exhaust system. There are still no technical data, but some believe that the cubic capacity will be something close to 1000 cc and power close to 110 HP.

Honda launched in Europe the 2022 model of the crossover/adventurous CB 500X, which arrives with USD Showa front forks, double disc brakes and more updates.

The biggest innovation in the 2022 Honda CB 500X is the 41mm Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork Big Piston) inverted front suspension, which allows an improved handling.

Another improvement is the presence of a new, lighter, redesigned rear swingarm. Now constructed of 2mm steel, it employs a hollow crosshead and is more rigid in rotation and also more flexible laterally to improve handling.

Braking performance has also been improved, with the adoption of 296 mm double disc brakes and axially mounted Nissin two-piston calipers.

Finally, the 19″ front wheel has been redesigned and is lighter thanks to the thinner spokes, which reduces unsprung weight to aid in cornering ability. It’s finished with a new fender that features unique detailing and graphics.

Twin-cylinder engine received injection adjustments

The engine remains the same 471 cm³ twin-cylinder with liquid cooling, but it received injection adjustments and the new settings improve the torque sensation without compromising performance. In Europe, it is capable of generating up to 35 kW (47 HP) of maximum power and 43 Nm / 4.55 kgfm of torque.

Also in terms of mechanics, the gearshift has 6 speeds and is equipped with an assist and slip clutch. The fuel tank capacity is 17.7 liters.

The instrument panel is fully digital in LCD and has a gear indicator, in addition to the usual partial and total odometers, speed and tachometer indicators.

There is also support for GPS and tapered handlebars, which conveys more confidence during the ride and has better resistance. The lighting is all in LED, and the headlight and turn signals were given a stronger illumination.

Finally, the 2022 Honda CB 500X gets two new colors, in addition to the Grand Prix Red: Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Organic Green.

Yamaha launched in Europe the 2021 TRACER 9, its high-displacement Sport Touring. It comes with a new name (it was TRACER 900), a new design and a bigger 890cc engine.

The 2021 Yamaha TRACER 9 brings a ‘new generation’ design and style, compact and aerodynamic, with a front optical assembly ‘inspired’ by the MT-125 and the supersport YZF-R1.

The upper part with daylight running light (DRL) has a design and arrangement close to that of the “small” naked MT-125. The LED cannons (high and low headlights) comes from the YZF-R1.

2021 yamaha tracer 9

In addition, it has larger side fairings, increasing aerodynamics and providing greater protection against wind and rain. Comfort is greater on long journeys, aided by the tall windshield.

Now, all lighting is now LED (headlights, flashlights and turn signals), and the panel is fully digital in colored TFT (actually two panels, left and right, 3.5 inches each). While the left screen displays important operational information, such as speed, rpm, gear and riding assistance mode, the right screen shows non-critical data, including odometer, temperature, Trip 1 and Trip 2.

2021 yamaha tracer 9

New mechanics

The 2021 Yamaha TRACER 9 arrives with new mechanics, including a new larger 890cc engine, new chassis and new forged wheels.

The engine is the new CP3 (3-cylinders in line) 889 cm³ with liquid cooling, capable of generating up to 119 HP of maximum power and 9.4 kgfm / 92Nm of torque. In addition, it has optimized gear ratios and refined assist and slip clutch.

The chassis is new, CF Deltabox in aluminum, along with a redesigned aluminum rear scale, 64mm larger. Together, they provide excellent stability at high speeds, without compromising agility.

The new forged aluminum wheels weigh 700g less than the previous generation, helping to reduce the total weight of the model.

The 41mm inverted front suspension and monoshock rear suspension are fully adjustable, allowing you to achieve the best ‘set-up’.

2021 yamaha tracer 9

In terms of technology, the 2021 TRACER 9 is now equipped with some of the most advanced electronic features for riders, which offer more confidence and precise control in different climatic and road surface conditions.

Developed from the supersport YZF-R1M, the compact 6-axis IMU manages a tilt-sensitive 3-mode Traction Control System (TCS), as well as a Slip Control System (SCS), LIFt Wheel Control System front (LIF) and Brake Control (BC) system.
